As Pink Parlour Reconciliation Accountant you are responsible for the following:

Performing regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records to identify discrepancies and resolve them in a timely manner.
Investigating and analyzing discrepancies or variances found during reconciliation processes, working with relevant departments or individuals to resolve issues and ensure accuracy.
Analyzing financial data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that may impact reconciliation processes, and proposing improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Documenting reconciliation procedures and results, preparing reports, and maintaining proper records to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Assisting with internal and external audits by providing reconciled financial data, explanations of discrepancies, and supporting documentation as required.
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline reconciliation processes, reduce errors, and enhance efficiency.
Collaborating with internal teams, such as finance, operations, to obtain necessary information and resolve reconciliation-related issues. Communicating effectively with stakeholders regarding reconciliation findings, recommendations, and status updates.

Must Have

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as a junior accountant
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. SAP)
Experience with accounting software and tools, as well as advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and reconciliation.
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and reconciliation processes.
Familiarity with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, explain reconciliation findings, and provide clear and concise reports.

Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
Qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is a plus but not required
Proficiency in data analysis, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors.
Strong problem-solving skills to investigate issues and propose effective solutions.
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple reconciliations simultaneously.
